The purpose in developing this website
is to make it easy to promote and learn about solar energy, one of our
renewable energy sources. The quarterly e-newsletter will be free, with no
advertisements. The revenues will be earned from business arrangements
with the Featured Solar Products, should a consumer choose to purchase
      one of the selected products.
In answer to the question, what can one person do about the energy
problems? I will start with the simple sunflower and answer Follow the
Power of the Sun. While all plants are phototrophic, most sunflowers are
heliotropic. This means the sunflowers movements tract the direction of
the sun. As the sun moves across the sky, the face of the sunflower gently
orients itself towards the direction of the sunlight. The face will be
eastward towards the morning sun and follows the overhead movement of the
sun during the day, then returning east again. When the sunflowers bud
stage ends, the stem stiffens, and it will most likely have an eastward
      orientation.

Why does the face of the sunflower turn its direction towards the
sunlight? The answer is so natural and obvious, to get the most light.  This simple and natural answer is
helpful for us because if we too just follow the power of the sun as it
moves through the sky, we too can utilize the sunlight.  A few examples of utilizing the energy
of the sun are found in the websites headings. I invite you to look and
      follow.
